A locations page where every café lives in its own era

Dishoom · Hospitality

Most restaurant groups list addresses and hours. Dishoom gives each café an era: Kensington is 1940s jazz, Carnaby 1960s beat bands.

The branding lesson

Dishoom’s locations page opens on one line: “Every Dishoom begins with a story, a founding myth, deeply rooted in Bombay history or culture.” Each café’s listing names its era, and its own page tells the full myth: Kensington is 1940s Art Deco and jazz, Carnaby the 1960s beat bands, Glasgow 1950s “Bombay Noir.”
